WhatsApp has lost may users around the world. Elon Musk suggested to use more privacy focused apps like Telegram and Signal. After this many users started to use these apps and Signal's services started to see more latencies.
Signal told that more user are now coming on Signal, hence increasing traffic as well as latencies.

With new WhatsApp policy user's some of the information will be shared with Facebook and it's affiliate and partner companies to give more better advertisement experience.
Most become have fear that WhatsApp will now read their private messages, chat, images etc. but this is not true. WhatsApp has released some clarification and has been running campaigns to convince their users.
Users have to accept the new Policy before February 8 otherwise their account will be deleted.
Indian government is constantly looking to WhatsApp privacy policy in order to maintain users privacy. These privacy policies are not applicable in Europe because of their strict data security rules.
Here are some points to look that WhatsApp announced:-
- The encryption feature will not be removed for private chat.
- WhatsApp will not share your private chats with anyone and logs of voice and video calls also will not be shared
- WhatsApp will not share your private contacts with anyone.
- You images, video or any kind of data will not be shared.
So what will WhatsApp share?
WhatsApp said that it will only share imformation regarding businesses accounts and chat. WhatsApp will only share chats of you if you talk with a business account or purchase something from them.
WhatsApp can read your chats with business account, your hardware details, your operating system details, network strength, battery life, etc.
Payment details of WhatsApp payment will also get shared. If you are using WhatsApp to pay to someone then WhatsApp can see the payment details. For example how much you paid, to whom you paid etc.
Am I under any threat?
Yes, you are under a threat. WhatsApp can read and share almost everything except your personal chats. Government can also see your data and can track you.
One of the threat can be seen in chats with business account. If you share you bank account information it can be directly read by the company whom you are talking with, if data gets leaked.
Facebook wants to improve their ads targeting by knowing your interest. Most people who are concerned about this policy now have removed their status, profile picture, name from their WhatsApp profile. If you are concerned about privacy you can use Telegram or Signal.
